on the Bolivar Peninsula. We are a laid back community.. we like to watch the waves crash in…
watch a line of Pelican’s slice through our gorgeous South Texas skies.. cast a line out into East Galveston Bay for redfish, trout and flounder or fish right on the beach.. we have it all!
Sunrises on the beach and sunsets over the bay are awe inspiring! Truly a sight to behold.
With The Beach Charmer’s three bedrooms, two bathrooms, a large eat-in kitchen and spacious living room, you’ll be very comfortable while inside relaxing after a fun, sun-filled day on the beach. Or if you prefer, sit outside on the large, gated side deck that faces the beach and enjoy a beverage of your choice! The deck has a gate at the top of the stairs with another gate further in to keep children and pets safe. With partial views of the Gulf of Mexico and the Intracoastal Waterway with East Galveston Bay in the background, relaxation is the name of the game!
The kitchen is stocked with essential cookware, bakeware, dinnerware & utensils. A coffee maker along with sugar & creamer; blender; toaster and general spices are provided for your convenience. A dishwasher and a microwave round out the kitchen. We DO NOT provide paper plates or disposable utensils.
The Beach Charmer’s comfortable accommodations include a king size bedroom with attached bathroom complete with a large jacuzzi tub; a queen size bedroom with a toddler ‘bunk’ and a room with two queen size bunks with a trundle-bed underneath. In the living room, there is a queen size sleeper sofa as well as a standard sofa. A guest bathroom with a shower/tub combo completes the house upstairs.
The Beach Charmer is settled in a quiet neighborhood on a direct beach access road. It’s a short walk or quick drive down to the beach where you can set-up your canopy, chairs, toys, etc. *Golf cart rentals are available from area merchants for the ultimate ‘beachy’ ride. Or if you have your own golf cart, side by side, etc..
The Beach Charmer sits on three lots so you can park your trailer/s off to the side while keeping the driveway clear. Driving and parking on our beaches is permissible.. please be extra vigilant of children and pets running around; on the beach and in the neighborhood. A $10.00 parking permit is required on all vehicles that park on the beach. These permits can be bought at most stores on the peninsula.. the Big Store* is guaranteed to have them! Beach Patrol does drive around looking to see if you have a permit on your windshield. If you don’t have one, they also sell them.
This $10.00 fee goes to keeping our beautiful beach…BEAUTIFUL! THANK YOU for your help.
Downstairs is a large concreted area to play games and let the kids ride on their toys. The yard is oversized, perfect for frisbee tossing or playing catch. A large BBQ pit is available to use, just bring some charcoal for grilling and chilling! Hang out around the picnic table and just.. simply.. enjoy.. being.. here.
There is also a Sand Shower downstairs… the wonderful feel of water washing the salty beach & sand off of you, is so refreshing in the closed-in outside shower.. you’ll wish you had an outside shower at your house!
The Beach Charmer is perfectly set-up for family gatherings; families with children; multi-families; a get-away with your friends; a fishing weekend*, or just you and your honey. Chillaxing is a specialty here!

Upon approval, nice family dogs are welcome. An additional pet deposit is required. Please keep them off the couches and beds. We love fur babies too, just not trying to get their hair out of everything. 🐾🐾
There are other dogs in the neighborhood, please keep yours leashed when downstairs and on the beach.
NO SMOKING INSIDE THE HOUSE, but outside is fine. Just please pick-up after yourself.
We ask that whomever is booking be at least 25 years of age and provide a valid drivers license.

East Bay Charters will put you on the fish! Redfish, Trout and Flounder are our forte. Half day fishing trips or sightseeing the active wildlife in and around the bay, East Bay Charters can accommodate. All you have to do is show up.. Capt. Marty has all the fishing/boating supplies needed. Experienced anglers are welcome to bring their own gear as well. Get your friends together and let’s make it a mini fishing tournament! We have multiple boats to fish in.

The coastal life also includes fishing, boating & abundant wildlife. Take a short drive to High Island to visit Smith Oaks Rookery, a part of the Houston Audubon.. 2205 Old Mexico Road, High Island, TX 77623. Roseate Spoonbills, Great Egret, Tricolored Heron, Little Blue Heron and many other species fly through this protected region. This area is perfect for nesting and raising young birds. ‘Birders’ from in and out of state come to watch the migrations of the many species traveling through our little slice of heaven. A little further down Hwy 124, you’ll come across FM 1985. Eleven miles down, lies the 34,000 acre Anahuac National Wildlife Refuge, FM 1985, Anahuac, TX 77514. This is another great area for birding, hiking, photography & wildlife watching.
The Beach Charmer is just minutes away from stores, boutiques and restaurants. The Big Store is 1.2 miles away…It’s a grocery store / ACE Hardware / souvenir shop all in one! But if you feel the need to venture further out, we’re 13 miles from the ferry to Galveston, TX and all Galveston has to offer. Or if you go East, we’re 35 minutes to Winnie, TX or an hour to Beaumont, TX. But seriously, why leave? You came here to get away!!!
We have wonderful restaurants to satisfy your seafood cravings! All the local burgers hit every yum-factor if seafood isn’t your thing! Just remember, we are on ‘Beach Time’. Things and people move at a slower pace on the coast It’s always a good idea to call ahead to make sure your chosen restaurant is open.. again, Beach Time!
